A new Kickstarter is now underway for Thimbleweed Park, a new adventure game from Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, once mainstays at LucasArts where they co-designed Maniac Mansion. This trailer helps introduce the plan. The first goal of their fundraiser is $375,000, and here is word on what they plan to do with the money:

And now they are back together with an all new 2D point & click adventure game! Ron is skinny again and Gary had that rash looked at — and they're here (finally!) to create the true spiritual successor to Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island.
