The embargo on reviews for Assassin's Creed Unity is over, so evaluations of the
stealth/action sequel are now online, as is a related
Consumerist editorial on "3 Reasons Why Video Game Review Embargoes Are
Particularly Anti-Consumer."
Metacritic
currently lists a grand total of zero official reviews for the Windows edition
because consoles, so you'll have to look to the
PlayStation 4 Reviews (currently an 81 metascore) and
Xbox One
Reviews (currently a 76 metascore) for answers at this time. Both the
console and PC editions of the game have very low user scores, as it seems to
suffer
performance issues on all platforms, and there are a bunch of threads about
this in the Steam forums and
the
Assassin's Creed forums. We also see
word on a day one patch which may impact this, but the only patch notes
we've been able to find
are in
German.
