Went to see a friend perform in a small independent play last night, an experimental noir retelling of Oedipus Rex, which was weird and interesting. Obviously this was in an intimate setting, with an audience of about 25. So how crazy is this. Someone got audible notifications from their mobile phone no fewer than three times during the performance. I don't understand how this happens so often in larger theaters, but in this setting it was impossible to fathom how this could happen more than once. People, am I right?
