Steam now offers a playable demo for The Evil Within, Bethesda Softworks' recently released survival/horror game. This includes the first three chapters and the opportunity to continue your progress in the full game if you buy it. The Bethesda Blog explains:

In time for Halloween, you can scream on Steam – free (!!) – through three chapters of The Evil Within!

Starting October 30th, you’ll be able to enjoy the first three chapters for free. If you choose to purchase the game after the first three chapters, you’ll be able to continue your save progress, and as an added bonus, we’ll throw more evil your way with a free copy of Call of Cthulhu. Finally, and for a limited time only, we are offering 50% off The Evil Within’s Season Pass!

Already purchased The Evil Within and its Season Pass? Fear not. Those that already have the main game will have Cthulhu added to your library, and purchasers of the Season Pass will receive special offers on other Bethesda titles.
