Screencheat Next Month

Surprise Attack Games announces that October 21st is the release date for Screencheat, their upcoming Windows, OS X, and Linux shooter where players can only find their invisible opponents by seeing their point of view on a split-screen, recalling the days when this was an unavoidable aspect of multiplayer console games. Here's a look ahead at the release along with a look back at the beta:

With the Screencheat open beta now over and the game entering into its final stages of development, developer Samurai Punk and publisher Surprise Attack Games are pleased to announce that Screencheat will be releasing on Steam on the 21st of October, for PC, MAC, and Linux. No longer will friendships be ruined due to poor sportsmanship in split-screen shooters, because in Screencheat everyone is invisible. When you can’t see your foes, you’re only choice is to screen cheat in order to win!

The Screencheat beta brought out the best and worst in people from around the world last month, captivating 12,707 cheaters globally. In a Screencheat Cold War revival, the two most lethal nations were the United States and Russia. Given that the US has produced some of the world’s greatest cheats, like Lance Armstong, it’s not surprising to see that the USA brought it home with a whopping 168,812 kills over the beta period. Not too far behind though were the Russians, with 91,292 kills, but even with a Putin-like fighting spirit, they just couldn’t hold up against the West.
