According to a news item at UK gaming site PC Format, Anachronox, Tom Hall's upcoming Quake II engine RPG, will be significantly reduced in order to ship this year, with a sequel containing the rest being released at a later date (it should be pointed out that Anachronox has always been planned as the first in a series of games). The piece is actually reporting on Eidos' current financial difficulties, but it contains this part of note:
