Some digging by the DRM detectives at Reclaim Your Game uncovers the presense of SecuROM copy protection in the version of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection currently being offered for free by EA. They have noted no problems specific to this, saying it looks like an unscrubbed version of the original release, but they put out the word for those who don't want the unpopular DRM on their systems.
