Titanfall Update to Add Marketplace, Not Microtransactions

The Titanfall website has details on a new update coming to the mech shooter to add a Black Market to sell in-game items such as packs of random Burn Cards and Titan Insignias. Respawn tortures gamers with a lengthy explanation of the plan before adding a note that this is all based on in-game currency, and does not mean they are adding microtransactions. "With the introduction of an in-game currency, some may worry that the next step is that we will let players spend real-world money to get an edge in the game," explains designer David Shaver. "We have stated several times that Titanfall will not have micro-transactions. Fear not, for we plan to keep that promise - NO MICROTRANSACTIONS! The only way to get Credits is by playing the game!" There's no word at this time when this update will go live.
