This document (Adobe Acrobat format) reveals a preliminary agreement to acquire developer Warframe developer Digital Extremes by Chinese online game publisher Perfect World and Sumpo Food Holdings, a company known more for selling chickens than games. We'd expected a more official announcement by now, but this is not yet confirmed by Perfect World or Digital Extremes (though they basically confirm this by saying they can't legally comment), and it's not clear what regulations this may have to hurdle to be consummated. In the meantime, GameSpot has word on a Change.org petition organized by the /r/Warframe subreddit to protest the move.
