A post from the other day on the UbiBlog notes that Ubisoft Quebec will be the lead development studio on the next Assassin's Creed game, after having assisted Ubisoft Montreal with prior installments in the stealth/action series (thanks HARDOCP/Joystiq). The article includes details on their investment in a new workspace to support the studio, as well word on how many developers are being recruited for the project. There's not much on the game, though they do draw attention to the studio's bona fides:
