Ubisoft plans on releasing the PC edition of Assassin's Creed Unity simultaneously with the console editions of the stealth/action sequel, but that was their plan at some point for the previous installments in the series, it just never works out that way. Rock, Paper, Shotgun reminded producer Lesley Phord-Toy of this in asking whether history will repeat itself, or if they are actually going to manage a multi-platform launch this time. She explains past problems as being caused by the challenges of the various PC configurations to be supported, but feels there is more reason for optimism this time: "Like I said, Ubi has been very successful at achieving same-ship in the recent past, so we’re very confident that we’ll be able to do the same for Assassin’s Creed Unity."
