Electronic Arts has closed down the EA Mythic studio in Fairfax, Virginia,
reports
GameInformer, where they indicate this is the end of the road for Mythic
Entertainment, the Dark Age of Camelot developer they
acruired in 2006. The studio's big project
for EA was Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, which has already shut
down, and their last game was the heavily criticized mobile, free-to-play reboot
of Dungeon Keeper. Oddly, one of the most prominent features on the
still-live Mythic
Entertainment website is word that they are hiring. Game Informer has a
statement on the closure from EA:
