Garry's Mod author and not-80s electro-pop artist Garry Newman tweets that his Source-engine sandbox has just passed an impressive income threshold: "Garry's Mod has just broke $30,000,000 !" Continuing the frankness, he follows with another tweet indicating Rust has actually now earned even more, saying: "And if my calculations are correct - we have now officially made more money from Rust than Garry's Mod. 0.34% more!" This is in part because they make more from Rust than GMod, as he explains "in Rust we get 70%" as opposed to Garry's Mod, which pays less: "in GMod we get 50% or $2.50 if it's part of a package."
