We had a little preliminary holiday gathering yesterday with part of our very extended family. A good time was had by all, perhaps most of all by the Gunnar-man, who managed to pick out his own present from the toy basket of the dog owned by our hosts. His prize is a Star Wars Angry Birds ball and he proceeded to spend the whole evening getting people to throw it for him to fetch (I'm not exaggerating, we're talking about four-plus hours of fetching). By the time we were leaving it was not very surprising he was allowed to keep it, as it had tripled in weight just from absorbing slobber... if we tried to turn down the present we probably could have gotten paid to take it out of the house with us.
