The "friends and family" phase of beta testing for the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls expansion is underway, announces Blizzard, saying they expect to enter a more formal closed beta by the end of the year. They explain they have expanded the scope of invitations to this phase to include "valued media contacts and key members of the Blizzard community," and since there is no NDA in place, this will result in previews and other articles about the add-on. They also reveal that a version 2.0.1 patch will soon appear on the PTR, saying: "This patch will feature updates including Paragon 2.0, Loot 2.0, our new difficulty system, the addition of Clans and Communities, as well as balancing and tuning for all five Diablo III classes."
