SEGA Shoulders ATLUS' Burden

SEGA is stepping in to purchase the parent company of struggling developer and publisher ATLUS, as announced in this press release (Adobe Acrobat format). Word is: "Under the agreement, SEGA will take over the operations conducted by Index, the bankrupt company that applied to the Tokyo District Court for the commencement of civil rehabilitation proceedings effective from June 27, 2013" (thanks Destructoid). According to Kotaku, the price tag for this is 14 billion yen (USD $141 million).
