After this morning's announcement that Microsoft will be acquiring Bungie (story
and story) more news about how this will affect the company has
been coming forward. In this
press release, Take Two Interactive has formally announced that they have
purchased the Oni and Myth franchises from Bungie, and that the company, "plans
to publish future versions of Myth through its Gathering of Developers subsidiary."
In other Bungie news, GameSpy.com has conducted
a Q&A with Microsoft Games VP Ed Fries, and Bungie co-founder and CEO
Alexander Seropian about the deal. Lastly, Halo.Bungie.org
is reporting that Doug Zartman, Bungie's PR manager (interviewed
here), will be leaving the company as the PR duties get shifted to Microsoft.
