Bigpoint announces Merc Elite, another upcoming entry in the burgeoning MOBA genre. Here's part of the announcement, including word the free-to-play game will enter beta testing this summer: "Merc Elite is the first MOBA game to take place in a futuristic military setting. It combines elaborate player-versus-player battles with 3D graphics. Gamers can decide between different character classes, including a refined weapons system for battles in the arena. Players will need more than just a daft hand with the weapons, though. Tactical skill, team play and strategy are also crucial factors for success. Merc Elite will go into open beta in the summer of 2013."
