has word that SolForge
entered open beta testing
last week, offering a sample of this collectible card-based strategy game from
Stone Blade Entertainment. Here's word:
In SolForge, players build and
customize decks of cards to compete with other players online or against AI
opponents. SolForge is free to play, and players can earn new cards to improve
their decks through gameplay. Over 180 cards are included in the initial
release, providing challenges for players and collectors alike, and additional
cards are planned for inclusion in future updates.
SolForge is a digital collectible game designed by Stone Blade Entertainment in
a partnership with Richard Garfield, the creator of Magic: the Gathering.
SolForge was successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign last year, resulting
in more than 7,000 backers who contributed $429,000, or 171 percent of the
project's funding goal. Until now, SolForge has only been available as a limited
demo on iPad and in closed beta on PC.
