LEGO Minifigure Game Pre-Announcement

The Funcom website is counting down the just under 13 days remaining before their planned August 29th reveal of a new online game based on LEGO Minifigures, as the latest scheme to make a video game based on the blocks-based toy will actually remove the block from the equation. Platforms and other details await the official unveiling, so we don't know that this is coming to PCs, but they are orchestrating an embargo to ensure a preview blast when the countdown concludes. For now, here's the announcement of the announcement, which takes no chances by mentioning their announcement date in each sentence:

On August 29th Funcom will reveal its brand new online game based on the exciting world of LEGO Minifigures -- and the countdown has already started!

With each day leading up to August 29th, more and more minifigures will gradually make an appearance on, giving LEGO fans a glimpse at some of the many uniquely different minfigures they will be able to take with them on their online adventures.

The Team will be presenting the game for the first time ever at next week's GamesCom event in Cologne, so that fans can look forward to impressions based on actual live gameplay and developer interviews with the reveal goes live on August 29th.
