Valve announces the Steam Workshop now includes the ability to compensate toolmakers, communities, and mentors with royalties from the sale of virtual items in Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2, allowing creators a number of choices of where to direct payments, which "will be made from a set percentage that is redirected from Valve to the toolmakers, not taken from the item creator's royalty."
