Heroes Community Website has details on some issues plaguing Might & Magic Heroes VI since the release of the version 2.1 patch and the Shades of Darkness expansion for the turn-based strategy sequel. There is also a note that there is difficulty patching the non-Steam editions of the game, which given the serious nature of some of the bugs the patch introduces, may be a blessing.
