A new
Kickstarter is hoping to raise $200K for Among the Sleep, a
first-person horror/adventure from Krillbite Studio, formed by interactive
digital art students who decided to band together to continue development of a
concept they came up with at school. Word is: "The game is heavily based on
atmosphere and exploration, and using the two year old child’s perspective. For
example you’ll be able to see your own body at all times, and you will have to
interact with the environment to find places to hide from dangers." Also: "There
might be threats hiding in every shadow, but there’s no traditional combat.
Instead, players will actively have to find places to hide, and avoid
confrontation to survive. For example in cupboards and under furniture." They
include a
prototype gameplay teaser video from almost a year ago and a
new
environment teaser trailer for a more current look, saying all their videos
are shot entirely in game. Among the Sleep has endorsements from all sorts of
industry pundits, and the top of the page has plaudits from Cliff Bleszinski and
Jim Sterling, though of course we never can tell when they are just trolling us.
Thanks nin.
