Steam Greenlight Perspectives

Joystiq has some numbers presented by Valve during a panel discussion showing how the new Steam Greenlight program is being used so far. They show a slide saying that 949,156 users have cast 9,998,476 votes for 3,195 games submitted for Greenlight consideration. 1,110 of those games have been banned either for being inappropriate or being jokes, and that there are now about 800 "Legitimate, Publicly Visible Items" remaining for consideration in addition to the 10 games that have already been approved. There's also an interesting article on Kotaku Australia written by the developer of Zafehouse: Diaries, which is currently art of the program, giving a perspective on this from the other side of the fence, describing the exciting, frightening, and "confronting" nature of the process.
