Destructoid has first word on Banner Saga Factions, a free-to-play multiplayer game from Stoic Studio that will launch for Windows and OS X in November and for iPad and Ouya at some point after that. The game is based on the turn-based combat system from Banner Saga, their tactical RPG that was Kickstarted earlier this year and is expected in early 2013. "Basically we are developing the single-player game, and we realized we are doing all this work on the combat and it's really fun to play," says Art Director Arnie Jorgensen. "Why not just release the combat as we develop the full game?" They say the result is already pretty polished and promise a preview with their impressions next week.
