Here's the deal: "Select beta participants will be the first to experience arena-styled competitive multiplayer action in several popular game modes across a variety of elaborate Renaissance environments. Players can choose to participate in large scale skirmishes with up to 12 players, or test their prowess in the one versus one duels on maps specially designed for this unique mode. In addition, closed beta will offer a preview of four playable heroes, each showcasing unique abilities and skills that reflect each character's motivation for joining the battle."
