Mike Hayes is leaving SEGA this summer, departing the post of president and CEO of SEGA Europe and SEGA of America (SEGA West) he's held since 2009, reports MCV
. They outline his accomplishments in that time: "Hayes has overseen a tenfold growth in the company as it switched from format-holder to multiplatform developer and publisher. Specific highlights in Hayes’ tenure has been moving the firm to a more digital business model, and acquiring The Creative Aseembly [sic] and Sports Interactive, responsible for Sega’s biggest hits on PC (the Total War and Football Manager series, respectively)." Word is he will focus on advisory and non-executive roles both inside and outside of the industry and that his European duties will be assumed by Jurgen Post, COO of Sega Europe.
