The weekend was very pleasant, considering it was spent in Atlanta, Georgia, which is certainly pleasant in and of itself, but it is also rather, well, warm this time of year. One of the festivities was a visit to a local chain called Taco Mac to try their chicken wings, which is a bit odd considering hot wings are said to have originated here in New York, but the idea was to see if my love for hot food could stand up to their hottest variety, which are called, simply, "Death." These were two grades hotter than a type called "Three Mile Island," which seemed ominous, but they were actually cake; nothing like the hottest variety of chili I make, and easily consumed without the aide of bleu cheese dressing or other crutches. On that topic, I also found some dried Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Chili) peppers to bring home, so it's possible my next batch of chili will qualify for that "death" moniker, so I'll have to be prudent.
