It was on this day in 1969 that Apollo 11 launched on a mission to land men on the moon for the first time. Of course there are skeptics who disbelieve this, though this puts them at risk of being punched out by Buzz Aldrin, who can probably still kick all their assess, in spite of being 81 years old.
