As the dust (514) seems to settle from the uproar over microtransactions in EVE Online, which CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson says caused some of the staff at the Icelandic developer to "buckle under the pressure," CCP and Nexon announce a "strategic partnership" to bring EVE Online to Japan this fall, supplying the intricate sci-fi MMORPG a new audience to outrage. Word is: "Localized services for Japanese players will enable them to access the game in their native language through the Tranquility server, which currently plays host to over 350,000 subscribers from around the world in three languages: English, German and Russian."
