Happy father's day to all. I got a present this morning from one of my fur-kids, as the Gunnar-man left a poop on the mat in the kitchen. I guess I should blame myself for not giving him more opportunities to do some proper shopping.

I'm thinking a lot of my dad today, as celebrating father's day last year was the last time we got to spend real time together, which serves as a good reinforcement of the value of such occasions. I still get to participate in the event, though, as my step-father did as much of the heavy lifting in raising me as anyone, and I will be giving him a call in a bit to express my love.
