During the E3 presentation for Battlefield 3, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson revealed plans for testing of the upcoming military shooter sequel, saying to expect a multi-platform platform open beta in September, prior to the game's release. Word is to expect the game's release on October 25, 2011. Also, EA's Origin Website now offers the new E3 multiplayer trailer from Battlefield 3.
