Sony has laid off staff at SOCOM and MAG developer Zipper Interactive, the Redmond, WA developer they acquired back in 2006, reports Kotaku. The report originated through some "scuttlebutt," but they later confirmed this with Sony, who say it is "normal business practice and a result of cutting back on production resources after the launch of two major franchises." They also report that "multiple tipsters" tell them about 33 employees were let go.
