Gamasutra offers the results of the 13th annual Independent Games Festival Awards, where Minecraft took the Audience Award as well as the Seumas McNally Grand Prize. They also have the results of the Game Developers Choice Awards where Minecraft was honored as Best Debut Game and also won the Innovation Award and Best Downloadable Game. The big winner in that competition was Red Dead Redemption, which took awards for Best Audio, Best Game Design, Best Technology, and Game of the Year.
