Union Entertainment and producer Sean Daniel (Wolfman and Mummy) own the film rights for Dead Island, reports TheWrap.com, saying this transaction actually took place in 2009, which makes more sense than some reports we've seen saying this happened in the couple of days since the cinematic trailer from Techland's upcoming zombie game 'caused a bit of a sensation. The story also notes: "Union also has the rights to the game "Call of Juarez," and executives from the company will be at the upcoming Game Developer Convention looking for new projects."
