More snow today yeesh. Anyone else watching Shameless on Showtime? We've been very impressed so far, and are growing ever-more curious about the British series on which it is based. But I'm also starting to wonder about my fascination with shows about dysfunctional families (Arrested Development, Raising Hope, and Shameless come to mind as examples). I think I had a pretty normal upbringing myself, but maybe that's one of the reasons: I can imagine these shows would not be nearly so entertaining if the subject matter hit too close to home.
