Extend Interactive announces the release of A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda, the first installment in an episodic series of side-scrolling action games. Here's word on the game: "In the traditions of retro classics, you play as Ares, an advanced combat robot sent on a mission to rescue taskforce members who were trapped while conducting an investigation to find out the extent of damage sustained by the space station. Annihilate countless robots, recycle their parts to make incredible items and take on gigantic bosses in this 3D environment side-scroller." A playable demo is available on this page, where the full version can be purchased as well. The game is also available on Desura, Direct2Drive, GamersGate, and Steam.
