One of the monitors in my dual-monitor setup is in the midst of a lingering death. It goes blank periodically, and at other times it flickers like a strobe. The irritating thing is this was a ridiculously expensive 30" dealie with a boatload of features that I made the mistake of buying right after it was introduced. This is from Gateway, a company that has never been known for their displays, and I should have just looked elsewhere when they told me they weren't selling extended warranties for this particular model (which they have since discontinued). One of these days I'm going to replace it with something that matches my other monitor, a 28" jobbie from HANNspree that cost 80% less than the Gateway did, and has performed perfectly.
