A story on Reddit offers screenshots demonstrating Assassin's Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction being played in offline mode, leading to the conclusion that Ubisoft has made changes to their draconian DRM scheme, which previously required a constant internet connection to play Ubi's games.
