The first patch is now available for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit to update the racing game to version 1.010. The patch is available on the Need for Speed Downloads Page, and there are mirrors on The Patches Scrolls and WorthPlaying. The patch notes follow.

The following issues have been fixed in this patch:

• Quad-core CPU’s crash
• Dreamshots are corrupted in non-16:9 aspect ratios: If you configure your game with a different resolution that yields an aspect ratio that’s not 16:9, dreamshots and snapshots were corrupted. This has been fixed.
• Missing rain, snow and corona effects
• CL Eye driver crashes the game
