Command & Conquer Will Return

A recent interview on Gamasutra talks about EA's expansion of their Visceral Label to help cement the identity of the studio that was formerly part of EA Redwood Shores. Word is Visceral will work on new Command & Conquer game, a new installment in the real-time strategy series many presumed was on the shelf following a lackluster Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. Their conversation with Visceral Games general manager Nick Earl does indicate the next C&C game is off in the future (or perhaps he mans "groovy"), saying: "In addition to the next Command & Conquer title, which is not yet formally announced and described by Earl as 'pretty far out,' he says 'the effort and energy at the moment is around building EA share in the action category... to achieve our mission of becoming number one inside of the action space'."
