Frictional Games now offers a new patch for Amnesia: The Dark Descent, updating the survival horror game to version 1.0.1. The patch is available on this page, where they warn: "This update should work with all Amnesia releases that uses [sic] our serial system. If you have bought the game on for example Steam, use Steam to update the game." They say the main purpose of the patch is to make sure the Radeon X1000 Series of cards work as intended, though they say it also adds a bunch of changes and bug fixes. They have also updated their mod tools to support the new changes, saying: "So far the tools have spurred interest beyond what we anticipated, if interested to see what's cooking check the forum." The patch is mirrored on AtomicGamer and WorthPlaying, and there's also an updated version 1.01 demo for the game, which can be found on AtomicGamer and WorthPlaying.
