The Electronic Arts Forums have word that the version 1.51 patch for Battlefield 2142 was in public beta testing over the weekend, a full 21 months after plans for the new version were first announced. Bugs and issues are reported in this thread, and word is this may lead to a full release: "The purpose of this Beta is to test server stability and let you see the new content.
