Kotaku reports a rumor that LucasArts has cancelled Star Wars: The Force Unleashed III, though we're not sure a third installment in the Star Wars action series was actually announced. They report hearing from "sources" that the game was axed by new LucasArts president Paul Meegan, and that this may somehow tie-in with the recent departure of Haden Blackman. They also say an unannounced project slated to ship next year avoided a similar fate, members of the Force Unleashed team will be let go as a result of all this, and that "morale and productivity are at all-time lows" since the new boss took over. On a semi-related note, there's a Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 interview on Games On Net discussing the game with associate producer Brett Rector.
