Akamai HD Network announces a number of broadcasters have signed to use their streaming services to deliver live and on-demand content over the internet. They have signed deals with the NFL, CBS March Madness On Demand, Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, IFC.com, MLB.com, MTV, NBC Olympics, and Turner Sports, and say they can deliver consumers their top three requirements for a successful viewing experience: "smooth playback, fast start-up times, and full-screen viewing."
