Another post by Barrie "Bazajaytee" Tingle to the Electronic Arts UK Forums says there are more players playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on PC than on either console while also saying that connecting to servers with the in-game server browser should be addressed by the second of their two planned server updates (thanks LittleMe). Here's the story:

That is likely to be solved by the 2nd update when we can make use of the dedicated BFBC2 PC servers.

btw: PC currently has more people playing and are in game servers than both the consoles.

Noticed on Kotaku that this post was taken the wrong way. The PC had more players than either console not more than both consoles combined. You'll need to work to beat both consoles combined effort 

On a related note, the Battlefield Blog says: "Battlefield Bad Company 2 has managed to prove so popular that yesterday the concurrent users in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 surpassed that in Battlefield 2 which has been going strong for almost 5 years."
