Random Software has the release of version 1.0 of the Comm Center software, a new real-time game communication program that "uses Microsoft DirectSound to mix their speech with your video games' sound effects, so you hear both at the same time." There's no word on how well this is suited to dial-up connections, but the program is apparently firewall friendly for those of you allowed to play at work (or those who can get away with it).
