Upcoming Update 1.08 - Preliminary Changelog on the Kalypso Forums outlines plans for the next Tropico 3 patch, which is said to be due by the end of the week. Here's the preliminary change list:

- Support for legacy ATI cards (fixes graphics issues on X19x0 models)
- Elections and rebel activities persist if you keep playing after your regular
- Population limit raised to 1200
- Road element limit raised to 800
