THQ announces they will be publishing Metro 2033 in 2010, offering Windows and Xbox 360 gamers this futuristic first-person shooter from Ukrainian developer 4A Games (it looks like the planned PS3 edition has been dropped somewhere along the way). The game, first announced three years ago, is based on a "best-selling" Russian novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The game's official website features a new gameplay trailer, and here's a bit more:

The PC version supports NVIDIA® PhysX® technology to enhance the incredibly realistic worlds and provide even more immersive gameplay. Metro 2033 is scheduled for release in early 2010, and the first trailer is available to view on the official website at www.Metro2033Game.com.
