I've mentioned in the past Hudson the wonder dog's hatred for mail coming through the slot on the door, which has caused us to tape the slot shut to prevent its destruction. The thing is that occasionally we would still find an envelope or other piece of paper that was left within doggie reach shredded on the floor. I always assumed this was Huddy destroying some paper out of irritation when the mailman arrived, and would scold her a bit to deter this. Then the other day I heard a tearing noise from the next room and discovered the Gunnar-man lying their calmly, methodically turning a piece of scrap paper into confetti. It turns out I was accusing the wrong dog of this minor crime, and had the wrong motivation too, as he was obviously just a little bored, and not irritated at anyone at all. Who knew?
